SE INFOTECH participated in an event organized by the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine

On April 1 in Kyiv, the manangement of SE INFOTECH participated in an event organized by the main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, dedicated to reviewing the work and development of units investigating war crimes.

The event was supported by international partners – the european Union Advisry Mission, the Council of Europe in Ukraine, IDLO and other organizations.

During the event, participants discussed how the investigative system is changing in wartime conditions, which solutions are already working and what is needed to further strengthen investigative capabilities.

The SE INFOTECH was invited to participate as a developer and administrator of government information systems used by law enforcement agrncies. At the request of the Main Investigation Departament of the National police of Ukraine, the company developed the `Investigation Reports` mobile app to automate the documentation of war crimes.

A particular challenge for investigators remains the process of identifying bodies, which requires processing large amounts of data, often without prior filtering, creating a significant workload and increasing the risk of errors and secondary traumatization.

Today, such solutions help systematically collect, store, and process information that is crucial for investigating crimes and building a case.

“It is important to us that technology does not exist in isolation from processes, but actually helps investigators in their work. We are in constant communication with system users to understand their needs and develop solutions tailored to practical tasks,” said Maksym Khimchenko, Director of the SE INFOTECH.

Participating in such events provides an opportunity to align technological solutions with the real needs of investigations and international standards, to feel a sense of involvement, and to truly appreciate the work that goes into documenting the aggressor’s crimes so that punishment is inevitable.
